2012 Seoul Conference

Dear Colleagues,

Welcome to AAoM 2012 Conference to be held in December!!
Please follow the steps below for prepar your trip to Seoul, Korea:

1. Register for Conference

All participants have to register for the conference. Please fill in the registration form downloaded from the AAoM website (http://www.baf.cuhk.edu.hk/asia-aom/). Pay the registration fees using your valid credit card. No personal cheque or bank drafts are accepted. Students and colleagues from low income countries may apply for a special rate by providing supporting documents. Registration after October 31, 2012 will subject to a higher fee. Please note that at least one author from each paper must register in order to be listed in the final conference program.

Registration fees:

US$375 for Conference registration with a complimentary two years full AAoM membership

A special rate of US$150 is provided to needed participants on a competitive basis. Intended applicants must submit relevant documentation such as student identity proofs and supporting evidence from school concerned to AAoM Secretariat for consideration.

Sample room rates for AAoM participants are:

Deluxe room (single occupancy no breakfast): 220,000 KRW (266,200 KRW with service charges and tax; ~US$242)
Deluxe room (double occupancy with breakfast): 310,000 KRW (375,100 KRW with service charges and tax; ~US$341)

The US dollar exchange rate is approximately 1 to 1,100 KRW.

3. Plan your Travel and Transportation

Do you need a visa to get into Korea?

Please process it early. Invitation letter if needed can be obtained from the local host.

Participants can fly into Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN).

The best way to get to Lotte Hotel is to take a KAL Limousine Bus. You may take this Limousine at 4B or 11A at the Bus stops of Incheon International Airport. It will directly lead to Hotel Lotte (Seoul) after a couple of stops at other major hotels in downtown Seoul.

(Please note that there are two Lotte Hotels in Seoul. One in Downtown (which is our conference hotel) and the other one in Southern part of Seoul, or Jamsil. The latter is called Hotel Lotte World, Jamsil --- don't get confused.)

You can take a cab. You may expect 50,000 KRW, approximately. US$46.

Please note that the conference will start with a reception in the evening of the 10th, and the program will end in late afternoon of the 12th.
