Prof. Jeff Yeung guided our postgraduates to Silicon Valley in California. During the trip, our students met many IT professional in the world’s leading corporations, start-up enterprises and universities.
To provide new students opportunity to know each other as well as strengthen their confidence and develop a positive attitude towards challenges, different orientation activities are organized to full-time and part-time students.
Dialogue Experience Workshop

Dialogue in the Dark is a unique and unforgettable journey that challenges the perception of participants towards the visually-impaired, and towards the way participants use their sense in their daily life. The training in darkness can bring the participants positive impact such as creative thinking and problem solving skills. Over 50 newly-admitted enjoyed the half day workshop.
Outward Bound 2016
3-4 September 2016
Around 20 students joined the 2-day Outward Bound Training to take the challenges. They all completed the training with certificates.
Sharing Sessions by IT Professionals and Business Leaders
IT professionals and business leaders are invited as guest speakers in lessons to share their insights in subject area and valuable experiences with students.
Opportunity Conference is an annual tech business conference organized by the Department of Decision Sciences and Managerial Economics, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. The conference gathers business leaders and experienced practitioners from different sectors. It provides our Master students and audience from public section a valuable exposure to a wide spectrum of IT issues and technologies. It is also our audience a panoramic vision of Hong Kong’s well-developed infrastructure for product research and development, recent advancement of technology from our local talents, new opportunities of venture business and some hot issues, such as innovation and pollution.
