Overview

The Center for International Business Studies (CIBS) at the Department of Management, The Chinese University of Hong Kong was established to strengthen the research and study of management and international business issues with a special emphasis on emerging economies.

Dedication

The Chinese University of Hong Kong has been regarded as a top international business research institution by many peer publications and school rankings. Faculty members in the Department of Management have made a lot of contributions to this accomplishment. In order to push forward the research frontier, the center is dedicated:

  • To generate and disseminate knowledge about international business to the academic community and industry through active publications, engagements, and dialogues;
  • To acquire and generate quality databases for conducting frontier studies with global impact;
  • To advance academic and professional proficiency of our graduates and scholars from mainland universities through active participation in research projects; and
  • To position The Chinese University of Hong Kong as the leading research institution in the study of management and international business issues with a special emphasis on emerging economies.
