Introduction:
Every year, CUHK MBA Programmes through its Pan-Asia Venture Development Platform (PAVD) invites third-party entrepreneurs to provide real investment projects that have good potential for growth in Asia. These projects include startups and existing SMEs. MBA students from CUHK Business School then examines the business models, carry out limited due diligence for these projects and then prepare investment proposals for investors – all at zero charge.

At the end of the course, each project is presented to a panel of 15 to 30 investors that includes venture capitalists, business angels and senior executives for investment. So far an impressive 20% to 30% of PAVD get funded by the investors.

This is the PAVD story for Ms Vanessa Chan, MBA Class of 2015.
