Now an expressive arts therapist, Aleck is recognised for applying his professional expertise and profound personal experiences, including his journey of overcoming cancer, to help others navigate mental health challenges and to discover strength and new possibilities in times of adversity.

Reflecting on the recognition, Aleck expressed his gratitude, “I feel deeply honoured to have been nurtured by CUHK Business School. Although I no longer work directly in the business sector, the skills I developed during my time in business continue to shape my work today.”

After graduation, Aleck began his career as an investment analyst, a role that honed his communication skills, which are now central to his practice as an expressive arts therapist. His marketing experience has also proven invaluable in bringing expressive arts therapy into new fields.

“Having worked in the business sector, I understand the challenges professionals face, which allows me to better support corporate clients in enhancing employee wellbeing,” he shared. “In addition, my time as a committee member of the Society of Business Administration, Chung Chi College, prepared me to collaborate on large-scale projects – an ability that continues to support my therapeutic and community work.”

Aleck also shared a heartfelt message with his fellow CUHK students and alumni, “If you already have a dream, go for it. And if you are still exploring, that is perfectly okay too. Don’t limit yourself – keep believing, because there are always possibilities in life.”

CUHK Business School congratulates Aleck on this remarkable achievement, and celebrates his inspiring journey of transforming his business knowledge and life experiences into a profound, meaningful impact for society.
