CUHK Business School hosts graduation events for the Class of 2025
The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School proudly celebrated the remarkable journeys of the Class of 2025 with a series of events held on 6 and 8 November 2025.
On 8 November, the Doctoral and Master’s Degrees Graduation Ceremony 2024-25 took place at the University Mall. The event brought together more than 1,000 graduates and 1,500 guests. Professor Poon Wai-yee, Provost of CUHK, opened the proceedings with a warm welcome address. She extended her heartfelt congratulations to the graduates and paid tribute to the unwavering support of their families and friends.
The ceremony was honoured by the presence of guest of honour Mrs Vivian Cheung Kar-fay, CEO of Airport Authority Hong Kong. Her powerful address resonated with everyone in attendance, noting, “The world needs innovative thinkers and courageous leaders who can drive change and adapt to new realities.” She encouraged the graduates to use their diverse skills and fresh perspectives to shape the future, not only for their careers but for the global community.
Before the ceremony concluded, graduate representative Simran Sanjaybhai Kolethia (MScBA 2025) reflected on the challenges and opportunities in the AI era, noting, “Al can generate ideas, but it can’t dream. We are the bridge between technology and humanity, bringing ethics, creativity, and purpose into an increasingly algorithm-driven world.”
The celebrations extended to CUHK Business School’s home base in Cheng Yu Tung Building. The presentation ceremonies for the Undergraduate Academic Excellence Awards and the Postgraduate Dean’s List Awards were held on 6 and 8 November respectively, honouring students with exceptional academic records. Professor Zhou Lin, dean of CUHK Business School, congratulated the awardees, stating, “Knowledge and academic distinction, while important, are not ends in themselves. What truly matters is how you apply them and to contribute to the greater good.”
Following the ceremonies, the foyer buzzed with energy as graduates celebrated their achievements. They took photos with friends and family, collected commemorative gifts, and officially joined the vibrant CUHK Business School alumni community.
