CUHK Signs Agreement with Waseda University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University for Asian Business Studies

A tripartite partnership for the Joint Undergraduate Program in Asian Business Studies (ABS) has been established between CUHK Business School, Antai College of Economics & Management (ACEM) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and School of Commerce at Waseda University.

A tripartite partnership for the Joint Undergraduate Program in Asian Business Studies (ABS) has been established between The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School, Antai College of Economics & Management (ACEM) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and School of Commerce at Waseda University.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at a ceremony on April 8, 2016 at SJTU Minhang campus by Prof. Joseph SUNG, Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK, Prof. KAMATA Kaoru, President of Waseda University and Prof. ZHANG Jie, President of SJTU.

Being a new partner to ABS, SJTU ranked 7th in China Best Universities Rankings 2016 and 24th in the QS University in Asia Rankings 2015. ACEM is the first business school in mainland China to have triple accreditation by AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA.

Launched in 2011, ABS is a cross-cultural program focusing on Asian business practices and cultures in China, Japan and Hong Kong. The program aims at cultivating well-trained Asia-adept business professionals in the globalised world economy. A maximum of 10 students each from the three partner universities will join together and study in Shanghai, Tokyo and Hong Kong for an exchange of three semesters.
