Undergraduate Mentorship Programme 2025-26 Kick-off Ceremony
Jointly organised by the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School Undergraduate Office and the CUHK BBA Alumni Association, the Undergraduate Mentorship Programme 2025–26 Kick-off Ceremony was successfully held on 25 October 2025. This year, the programme welcomes 41 returning mentors and 11 new joiners. Together, they will guide and empower 150 student mentees as they embark on a rewarding journey of growth.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome speech from Dr John Lai, assistant dean (undergraduate studies). He emphasised that mentorship serves as a platform for both professional and personal growth, where curiosity and conversation form the foundation of a successful mentorship. Dr Lai encouraged mentees to take the initiative and engage in open dialogue built on trust, respect, and sincerity.
Following this, mentee representatives Chew Yun Ching (GLEF, Year 4) and Lu Min Ho (IBCE, Year 2) took the stage to share their mentorship experiences. They illustrated how stepping outside one’s comfort zone fosters growth and expressed deep appreciation to the mentors for their dedication to supporting their alma mater, as well as their valuable advice on academic development and future career skills.
Participants then engaged in interactive group mingling and sharing sessions to exchange ideas and build meaningful connections. Following the sharing sessions, Ms Kathy Leung (IBBA 2004), Chairperson of the CUHK BBA Alumni Association, addressed the audience, reinforcing the importance of maintaining strong, lasting ties within the CUHK Business School community.
Before concluding, the CUHK BBA Alumni Association Scholarship awards were presented to Leung Ying Hin (GBS, Year 2) and Chaung Ching Ho (GBS, Year 2), in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements, leadership qualities, and strong commitment to serving the society and the University.
