Biography

Professor Erik Elfrink is an Assistant Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School. He earned his PhD from the University of Georgia following a decade of experience in Big 4 Audit and Global M&A Advisory, where he facilitated multinational corporate and private equity acquisitions across U.S. and European markets.

Professor Elfrink draws on his professional M&A experience to guide his research agenda, which largely focuses on unravelling how accounting information is used in firm valuation, capital market decision-making, and analyst reporting. In the classroom, he bridges the gap between accounting theory and real-world application. Erik is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Missouri.
