Conducting high quality research, responding to reviewers and more!

Abstract
In this session, Professor Yeo will draw on her experience as Associate Editor of Journal of Applied Psychology to share insights regarding the publication process. Focal topics include discussing key considerations for a) conducting high quality research and b) responding to reviewers, with scope for additional topics as they arise throughout the session. This session is welcome to all, with students and early career researchers being particularly encouraged to attend. The session is designed to be informal and interactive, so that a range of topics related to the publication process can be discussed, based on the interests and concerns of the audience members.
Speaker Biography
Professor Gillian Yeo is the Woodside Chair in Leadership and Management at the University of Western Australia (UWA) Business School. She is also an Associate Editor of the Journal of Applied Psychology. Her research focusses on psychological states (motivation, affect, cognitions) of employees, teams and leaders and how they affect learning, performance and well-being. She has published in a variety of journals, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology and Journal of Management. The outcomes of her research have informed training, performance management, and occupational health practices in a variety of work settings, including the Construction, Mining and Defence industries.
