Biography
Professor Wu Shuang is an Assistant Professor of Management at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School. Her research focuses on leadership emergence, social hierarchy, and social class. Specifically, her research examines the barriers employees encounter and the strategies they can employ to achieve upward mobility within social hierarchies. To address her research questions, she adopts multidisciplinary methods including lab experiments, field experiments, and archival data analysis. Her research has been published in leading psychology journals such as the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. She received her PhD in Management from the University of California San Diego, and BA in English Language and BS in Psychology from Tsinghua University.
