CUHK Business School takes flight with Hong Kong’s first MSc in Aviation Management
The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School, in partnership with the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy, has launched a new Master of Science (MSc) in Aviation Management programme, the first of its kind in Hong Kong. The programme is designed to develop a new generation of visionary aviation leaders capable of navigating the complexities and driving the rapid growth of Asia’s aviation sector.
As Asia solidifies its role as the engine of global passenger demand, the industry faces a critical need for professionals who understand not only the technical operations, but also the business, strategic and experiential dimensions of modern aviation. The one-year, full-time MSc in Aviation Management addresses this gap by providing comprehensive training, helping students build a solid understanding of industry fundamentals through its core courses while developing specialised expertise via a wide range of electives aligned with their career goals.
“Hong Kong is more than a global aviation hub—it is a dynamic crossroads where East meets West, tradition meets innovation, and ambition meets opportunity,” said Professor Dominic Chan, director of the MSc in Aviation Management at CUHK Business School. “As the gateway to Chinese Mainland and the Belt and Road Initiative, our city holds unparalleled potential to shape the future of aviation worldwide. Our programme is designed for tomorrow’s leaders who dare to reimagine this future.”

Immersed in the heart of Asia’s aviation ecosystem, home to one of the world’s busiest international airports and the gateway to the Greater Bay Area’s 86 million residents, students will join a diverse network of aspiring aviation professionals. They will graduate with the strategic vision to lead the dynamic aviation sector, equipped to drive sustainability, innovation, and cross-border collaboration across the industry.
