CUHK EMBA Info Session & Master Class on “How to Survive & Succeed in Global Disordering”

Synopsis
TSMC, the World’s largest wafer manufacturer, announced in early January that the company, in its first time, was hiring experts in political, economic, and international relationship. Does this recruitment imply that its 65,000+ talents with top quality PhDs and MBAs are insufficient in handling the current dynamic environment? It is possible because our previous education say, in corporate strategy, marketing and supply chain management were all based on the globalisation concept. Obviously, this is no longer applicable now. In fact, many EMBA graduates told me about their difficulties in mapping the strategies for their companies and for themselves. However, although the international business environment looks chaotic, there is still a way to make fairly accurate predictions by observing the global trends. As global trends influence national policies and is long term in nature, if we can read it correctly, we will be able to predict the “unpredictable”, hence survive and succeed better.
