MBA Info Session & Sample Class: Accounting Information for Decision-Making

The CUHK MBA Programme is designed to equip students with business literacy for sound management planning and decision-making. Our core courses span diverse areas including accounting, which has been described as the language of business. In this sample class by Prof. Wongsunwai Wan, we will explore how traditional accounting concepts are used in decision-making in various business situations, such as operational planning, performance monitoring, communication with stakeholders, etc.

Outside of academia, Prof. Wan has worked as an equity analyst with ABN AMRO Bank in Hong Kong, and he was ranked by Reuters as one of the top 10 analysts in Hong Kong and Mainland China covering software and information technology. He also worked with two of the Big 4 accounting firms (KPMG in London and PricewaterhouseCoopers in Hong Kong), managing audit and due diligence clients in different industries. Prof. Wan obtained his doctorate from Harvard Business School and, prior to joining CUHK, taught in the MBA programmes at Kellogg School of Management and INSEAD.

In this session, our admissions staff will also share an overview of the CUHK MBA curriculum and co-curricular activities, career and alumni support, admission requirements, scholarships and financial support. Sign up today to reserve your spot.
