CUHK MiM Forum 2024-25 empowers future leaders to thrive amid uncertainties

On 14 March 2025, the Master of Science in Management (MiM) Programme at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School hosted its signature MiM Forum for the seventh consecutive year. The event brought together around 100 MiM students, alumni, faculty, and industry leaders for thought-provoking discussions on effective strategies to thrive in today’s volatile global landscape.
Following the opening remarks by Professor Dora Lau, Director of the MiM Programme, four esteemed alumni shared their leadership insights and how they turned challenges into opportunities in turbulent times, encouraging students to stay ahead of the curve with confidence.
Four distinguished alumni shared insights from their leadership across industries.
- Ms Julie Chiu (IBBA 1992, EMBA 2002), Executive Director, Head of Marketing & Marketing Communications at DBS Hong Kong, delivered an inspiring presentation on the evolution of marketing and its implications for today’s businesses.
- Mr Chan Tin-kin (MBA 2013), Senior Director, Head of Brand Function and Commercial Operation at Procter & Gamble (Hong Kong and Taiwan), showcased how the company navigated complex economic challenges with its integrated growth strategy.
- Mr Maverick Law (IBBA 2010), Senior Director, Office Leasing Advisory at JLL Hong Kong, provided a forward-looking analysis of Hong Kong’s office market for 2025 and beyond.
- Mr Brian Leung (MAcc 2019, MBA 2022), Vice President, Investment Banking at Mizuho, shared his observations on the investment trends in Asia’s financial hubs amid uncertainty.
