CUHK PACC Gala Dinner celebrates excellence and inspires the next generation of accounting leaders

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School Professional Accountancy Programme (PACC) recently hosted a gala dinner that brought together around 200 participants, including distinguished industry leaders, new PACC students, alumni and faculty members. The event provided the new cohort with their first taste of the professional network and closely-knit community the School offers.
A highlight of the evening was the compelling presentation by Mr Roy Leung, President of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). He shared insights on emerging trends shaping the accounting profession, such as sustainability, technology, and developments in the Greater Bay Area. His remarks emphasised the evolving role of accountants in this changing business landscape, setting an inspiring tone for the new cohort as they began their journey in the industry.
The event culminated in the presentation of the prestigious Admission Scholarships, awarded to 13 outstanding students in recognition of their diligence and exceptional academic achievements. Professor John Yang, Director of PACC Programme, introduced a wide range of scholarships available, including the new Yang Ju-mei Memorial Scholarship exclusive to PACC students.
Special acknowledgements were extended to the generous sponsors, whose support made the evening rewarding and memorable.
