Undergraduate Mentorship Programme 2016-17 Kicked Off

Jointly organized by CUHK Business School’s Undergraduate Office and the BBA Alumni Association, the Undergraduate Mentorship Programme 2016-17 was kicked off on 15 October 2016. This year, over 100 mentors from various sectors and more than 200 current students have signed up for the programme.

Jointly organised by CUHK Business School’s Undergraduate Office and the BBA Alumni Association, the Undergraduate Mentorship Programme 2016-17 was kicked off on 15 October 2016. This year, over 100 mentors from various sectors, including banking, accounting, FMCG, consulting, government and education, and more than 200 current students have signed up for the programme.

At the kick-off ceremony, the Dean of CUHK Business School Prof Kalok Chan thanked mentors for their unparalleled support and encouraged mentees to grasp the opportunity to learn from their mentors who were so generous to share their knowledge and life experience.

Also addressing the event was Miss Janice Sue Wong, a CUHK alumna graduated with a BBA in International Business and Chinese Enterprise in 2014, who has co-founded the social enterprise project “HeArtistic” to raise the public’s awareness towards mental health through art and is currently a Strategy Analyst at a management consulting company. Janice gave an enlightening sharing on the inspirations she has got from her global exposure as well as her personal experience with her mentors. She encouraged students to take initiatives to explore the world and make a difference.

Thanks to the generous support of the CUHK BBA Alumni Association, two undergraduates namely Lok Chi (Year 4 IBCE) and Wong Ting Keung (Year 4 PACC) were presented the CUHK BBA Alumni Association Scholarship at the ceremony this year in recognition of their academic achievement and outstanding performance in leadership and social services.

After the event, mentors and mentees were split into groups for sharing and interactions.
