CUHK Business School GBS student awarded the prestigious Hong Kong Jockey Club Undergraduate Scholarship

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School undergraduate student Ingrid Lee Cheuk-wing (GBS, Year1) has been awarded the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) Undergraduate Scholarship. She is one of only three recipients from CUHK this year.
The scholarship recognises students for their outstanding academic achievements and dedication to community service. Reflecting on this honour, Ingrid (first from left) shared, “To me, this recognition goes far beyond financial support — it is a meaningful affirmation of my past efforts in academic pursuits and community service.”
During her first year at CUHK, Ingrid proactively pursued learning opportunities beyond the classroom. Participating in various case competitions, she sharpened her practical business skills while deepening her passion for driving social impact through business.
“As a global business student, I believe that business is not only about generating profits, but also about creating a positive impact on society,” Ingrid remarked. “This belief resonates deeply with the Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarship’s mission to recognise students for their intellect, character, leadership, and commitment to serving the community. I am truly grateful for this opportunity, and remain committed to upholding these values and contributing to society, both as a student now and in my future career.”
Established in 1998, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarships are dedicated to nurturing caring leaders who drive positive change and inspire the wider society to strive for excellence. Over the past 26 years, more than 1,100 young talents have been awarded the scholarships to pursue their studies.
