Biography

Professor Kevin Tseng is a Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School and Director of the newly established Faculty Development Centre. He previously served as the EMBA Alumni Elite Chair Professor and Chen-Yung Outstanding Scholar at National Taiwan University (NTU). Before joining NTU, he was a Financial Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and an Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas School of Business.

Professor Tseng’s research interests encompass knowledge spillover, capital markets, disclosure, innovation, and corporate and household finance. His work has been published in premier accounting and finance journals, including Journal of Accounting and Economics, The Journal of Finance, The Accounting Review, Review of Financial Studies, Management Science, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and Contemporary Accounting Research. He serves on the editorial board of Accounting and Business Research.

His research excellence has been recognized through multiple awards. He was a finalist for the Research Excellence Award in both 2024 and 2025, received the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) Outstanding Research Award in 2022, and earned the Western Finance Association Cubist Systematic Strategies PhD Candidate Award for Outstanding Research in 2015.

Professor Tseng teaches in undergraduate, MACC, MBA, PhD, and DBA programs at CUHK. His teaching has been recognized through his selection as a finalist for the SACY Teaching Award, nomination for the Faculty Teaching Excellence Award, and receipt of the Faculty Teaching Merit Award.
