School of Accountancy

Overview

Offering Hong Kong’s first degreed programme in accountancy since 1970, the School of Accountancy at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has led the way in the region’s accounting education for almost fifty years. We continue to stay at the forefront of global changes through our influential research, international focus, and the achievements and contributions of our high-calibre graduates. As part of our commitment to leading the way forward in the field of accountancy, we have also collaborated with the Shanghai National Accounting Institute since 2002 to jointly offer the Executive Master of Professional Accountancy (EMPAcc), which is the first of its kind in China.

Our programmes are accredited by professional bodies including the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and the CPA (Australia).

Our programmes–including the BBA in Professional Accountancy (PACC), the Master of Accountancy (MAcc), and the Master/Doctor of Philosophy (MPhil/PhD) in Accountancy–produce students who graduate with a high proficiency in both practical and theoretical accounting, ready to thrive in new industry frontiers.
