CUHK Business School DBA 2024 cohort embarks on a four-year doctoral journey
The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School recently held an opening ceremony and welcome dinner for the 2024 new cohort of the Doctor of Business Administration (Chinese) (DBA) Programme. This event marked the beginning of the students’ transformative journey to elevate their academic and professional development over the next four years.
This year, the programme welcomed 24 elite business leaders from mainland China, Taiwan, and Singapore, representing a diverse range of industries, spanning financial services, technology, real estate, construction, manufacturing, and advertising.
With an average of 20 years of experience, these seasoned leaders have established a robust network of management expertise and professional knowledge, which will be further enhanced through world-class training and advanced research resources.
Professor Zhou Lin, dean of CUHK Business School, extended a warm welcome to the new cohort and highlighted the critical role of DBA students in generating cutting-edge knowledge. He remarked, “As DBA candidates, you are bringing real-world business challenges to the table. By advancing your understanding in research methodology and academic theories, we hope to empower you to develop practical solutions and new insights to address pressing business issues.”
Launched in 2022, the DBA programme is a four-year, part-time doctoral degree designed for seasoned entrepreneurs and business professionals in the Greater China Area. By harnessing the School’s strengths in finance, technology, and business, the programme aims to support students in advancing their academic research and crystalising their findings into actionable business sagacity.
