CUHK Business School Welcomes Malaysian Delegation Led by Renowned Businessman and Philanthropist

CUHK Business School received a warm surprise visit by Tan Sri Dato’ Paduka Dr. Fng Ah Seng, a successful Malaysian business leader and a well-known philanthropist on 29 March, 2016.

It was a beautiful, sunny day on 29 March when Prof. Kalok Chan, Dean of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School, joined by his fellow colleagues including Prof. Michael Ferguson, Associate Dean (Graduate Studies) and Director of MBA Programs, Dr. John Lai, Assistant Dean (Undergraduate Studies) and Director of Global Business Programs, as well as Ms. Wendy Lai, Senior Operations Manager of The Asia-Pacific Institute of Business, hosted Tan Sri Dato’ Paduka Dr. Fng Ah Seng, Puan Sri Cheah Soon Kok, and Tan Sri’s senior management a warm visit.

Tan Sri Dato’ Paduka Dr. Fng Ah Seng is an eminent business leader in Malaysia who has made significant contributions to the country through his strong ties to the Malaysian property development industry. His business empire has expanded all over Malaysia with many subsidiary companies. Not only is Tan Sri Dato’ Paduka Dr. Fng Ah Seng a successful business leader, but he is also a well-known philanthropist, an adventurer and an educator. Albeit his busy schedule, he has devoted himself to nurturing the younger generation and contributing to the society.

Tan Sri Dato’ Paduka Dr. Fng Ah Seng and Puan Sri Cheah Soon Kok, together with their delegation were enthralled by the stunning views and state-of-the-art facilities of CUHK and CUHK Business School. They were also impressed by our undergraduate students of their passion in business education and high spirits to excel. He is looking forward to a closer exchange and collaboration between Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Tan Sri Dato’ Paduka Dr. Fng Ah Seng surprised the School by a generous donation to our students’ co-curricular activities with an aim to enrich students’ global perspectives and broaden their horizons. He is also looking forward to welcoming our undergraduate students in the forthcoming study trip from International Business and Chinese Enterprise and Global Business Studies programs this May.
