CUHK MBA students conclude a year of meaningful connections and cross-border learning

In December 2024, the Office of MBA Programmes of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School concluded the year with the 2024-2025 Elite Mentorship Programme (EMP) Kick-off Ceremony and Appreciation Dinner, as well as the Regional Trek to Shenzhen – the sixth edition of its flagship exploration into China’s vibrant economic and cultural landscape. Both events are part of the LEAP@BEAM Ecosystem, which aims to accelerate the personal and professional development of MBA students.
This academic year, the flagship EMP welcomed more than 100 alumni and students to embark on a growth journey as mentors and mentees. At the Kick-off Ceremony and Appreciation Dinner, distinguished alumni and Elite Mentors shared inspiring insights on how intergenerational synergy can spark transformative business ideas and create lasting impact. This special occasion marked the beginning of a rewarding growth journey and ignited new, meaningful connections within the CUHK MBA community.
Later in the month, a group of MBA students embarked on the Regional Trek to Shenzhen. During visits to Peng Cheng Laboratory and China Resources Digital Technology, the students learned how these innovative organisations leverage technology to drive scalable growth and operational efficiency. The trek concluded with an exclusive dinner with Mr Li Jiangfeng, Deputy General Manager of the China Railway 12th Bureau Group, who shared invaluable insights on managing large-scale projects with resilience and strategic thinking.
