Biography
Dr. Alvin Ang is a Senior Lecturer of Finance and Co-Director of the Global Economics and Finance programme at CUHK Business School. He obtained his PhD in Finance, Master of Financial Economics, and Master in Finance from UNSW Business School, University of New South Wales, and BBA with a major in Finance from Goizueta Business School, Emory University. Alvin’s main research area focuses on the impact of competitive forces, ESG considerations, and political institutions on corporate financial and investment policy. His recent research has been published in the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. Prior to joining academia, Alvin worked in the investment banking and asset management industry in the United States. He is a CFA charterholder and member of CFA Society Singapore.
