Biography
Professor Jasmine Yang is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is also a part-time researcher at Meta’s NYC office. Her research combines generative AI, high-dimensional/unstructured data, statistical/econometric methods, and behavioural science to tackle questions related to creative design, digital markets, and decision making. She has received several awards for her research, including the 2024 Sheth Foundation ISMS Doctoral Dissertation Award (winner), finalists for the 2025 American Statistical Association Marketing Section Doctoral Dissertation Research Award and the 2026 AMS Mary Kay Doctoral Dissertation Award.
Prior to joining CUHK, she worked at Meta in Central Applied Science and Monetization GenAI, where she led video storyline and ad creativity research, working closely with Creative Shop to surface new insights to clients. She received her PhD in Quantitative Marketing from Columbia Business School, a M.Sc. in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a B.Sc. in Combined Mathematics and Economics at University of British Columbia.
