Introduction:
On 25 and 26 April 2016, CUHK Business School, Deakin University and Alexander von Humboldt Foundation held a joint forum hosted at the Executive Education Suite in Cheng Yu Tung Building, The Chinese University of Hong Kong Business School. Around 40 representatives from various universities, corporate and government body attended the event with the theme: “Reflections on Voluntary Corporate Governance Codes: Is it now time to move on from a ‘soft law’ approach to a ‘hard law’ approach?”. The joint forum provided an ideal platform for academics, industry leaders and government officials from Hong Kong and Australia to share their insights on the idea of a voluntary corporate governance codes and practices regarding environmental matters, social and employee-related aspects, respect for human rights, anit-corruption and bribery issues, and diversity on the boards of directors. More details can be found at the forum website: http://2016.icgl.org.au/
