CUHK Business School partners with Cushman & Wakefield and Standard Chartered to nurture real estate talent
The School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM) at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School is pleased to announce its partnership with Cushman & Wakefield, a global commercial real estate services leader, and Standard Chartered in the pilot NextGen University Programme. As the first academic partner, SHTM will collaborate with these industry leaders to nurture the next generation of talent specialised in corporate real estate.
The NextGen University Programme was officially inaugurated on 16 October 2024. This strategic partnership aims to connect the bright minds of SHTM with industry leaders and professionals at Cushman & Wakefield and Standard Chartered. The programme offers invaluable networking opportunities, mentorship, expert talks, and internship placements. These opportunities will broaden students’ understanding of the commercial real estate industry, enriching their practical knowledge in areas such as valuation, transaction, asset management and workplace strategies.
Professor Desmond Tsang, Acting Director of SHTM, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, encouraging students to fully engage in the programme. He stated, “Real estate is a fascinating world with many different aspects and functions that affect how people live. We are very grateful that Standard Chartered and Cushman & Wakefield share their industry insights on commercial real estate services, shedding light on how sustainability, diversity, equity and inclusion are woven into the built environment now and in the future.
