Perfect Moments with Prof. Dennis Fan

The Undergraduate Office organised a special session for faculty staff to bid farewell to Prof. Dennis Fan, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies), who will retire upon the end of the 2016-17 academic year.

On 12 May 2017 afternoon, the Undergraduate Office of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School organised a special session for faculty staff to bid farewell to Prof. Dennis Fan, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies), who will retire upon the end of the  2016-17 academic year.

Prof. Fan is an alumnus of CUHK and has devoted the golden time of his career to teaching. Twenty six years ago, he returned to his alma mater to teach finance at CUHK Business School. He has been nurturing students at the undergraduate, master and MBA levels since then. On top of transferring professional knowledge, he values the all-round development in students. He has been helping and empowering them to spread their wings before and after they graduate. Throughout his years at CUHK, he has transformed the lives of many students and alumni with his teaching, guidance or philosophies in his Monday messages.

Inspired by a book Prof. Fan read, his farewell session was named “A Perfect Moment with Professor Dennis Fan”. On that day, the moments were enriched with sharing by his colleagues Prof. Kalok Chan, Dean of CUHK Business School and Prof. Suk Ying Wong, Associate Vice-President, Director of Office of Admissions and Financial Aids, CUHK, as well as his past students at CUHK including Ms. Norris Lam, Managing Partner and President, Forbes Private Capital Group Asia and G2 Asia and Prof. Andy Wong, Assistant Dean (Undergraduate Studies) and Professor of Practice in Marketing of CUHK Business School. Another CUHK Business School alumnus and student of Prof. Fan, Mr. Patrick Cheung, Chairman, HGI Capital Holdings, Founding & Managing Partner, Zhong Wei Capital also sponsored a tea gathering at The Stage to celebrate the joyous moment for Prof. Fan.
