Warren Buffett: Lessons in Management for MBA Students

CUHK MBA students Sharad Golchha told TopMBA.com in an interview that he is impressed by Warren Buffett’s management style.

Sharad Golchha was among the group of MBA students representing The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School who met Warren Buffett face-to-face in the investment guru’s hometown in late November 2014. He was also invited to visit Berkshire Hathaway and some of its subsidiaries, such as Nebraska Furniture Mart, during the three-day study trip.

Golchha is impressed by Buffett’s management style. He told TopMBA.com in an interview that he came across many people at Buffett’s companies who had been there for more than 10 or 20 years and were really happy with their work. To be associated with a company for that many years, he thinks, a company must possess something special and this probably comes from Buffett’s way of management.

Furthermore, Golchha indicates that he joined CUHK Business School’s MBA class of 2015 in search of career progression and with the aim of expanding his skill set for managerial opportunities in Asia. He says that he is particularly interested in China, which is why he chose to pursue an MBA in Hong Kong to get the exposure to the Chinese economy.
