“Professor Shih Yi-chung Elbert – CUHK Business School Scholarship” established to recognise outstanding undergraduates

CUHK Business School is deeply honoured to receive a generous bequest of $2 million from the late Professor Shih Yi-chung Elbert, former chairman and Honorary Professor in the Department of Finance. In accordance with Professor Shih’s wishes, the School has established the “Professor Shih Yi-chung Elbert – CUHK Business School Scholarship” to acknowledge undergraduate students who demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need. This initiative not only affirms students’ accomplishments but also inspires them to continue striving for success in both their academic and personal endeavours.

INDEX Symposium gathers global educators to take experiential learning to new heights

From 4 to 7 March 2025, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School Undergraduate Office hosted the Industry Project-based Experiential Learning (INDEX) Symposium on campus. With a focus on advancing experiential learning in the region, this four-day event gathered more than 40 passionate educators, dedicated researchers, and industry practitioners to develop future-ready curricula and discuss innovative approaches to global business education. The diverse team of experts hailed from Canada, Hong Kong, Iraq, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, mainland China, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand.
