CUHK Business School believes in the entrepreneurial values of dynamism, action, and risk-taking and their remarkable contribution to economic and social growth. That is why we founded the Centre for Entrepreneurship (CfE) in 2005 to galvanise the spirit of entrepreneurship in Hong Kong, China, and around the world.
CfE is an interdisciplinary association that brings together scholars, practitioners, and other proponents of entrepreneurship to provide education, conduct research, and organise activities that inspire entrepreneurial mindsets and action.
We provide aspiring entrepreneurs valuable opportunities to practice and finesses their business skills, for example by launching and participating in competitions where students can present their business plans to venture capitalists, established entrepreneurs, and managers of government start-up capital funds. Through sponsoring students in international competitions, we allow them to develop an understanding about the global entrepreneurial environment. As well, through collaborations with partners, we encourage our students to apply entrepreneurial value creation to social problems, developing their sense of responsibility to the community.
With the advantage of the CUHK’s unique research leadership and networks in Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta, CfE contributes unparalleled insights on the nature and effects of entrepreneurship and the Chinese entrepreneurial heritage, often coordinating with leading Chinese universities and international organisations to analyse and disseminate results.
Entrepreneurship demands action, and at the CfE, we believe in creating an environment and platform from which that action can produce value and deliver results.
